Ted Marty & Associates In 1952 Ted Marty Sr pioneered a new concept- he created an Independent Insurance Agency in an unlikely location, the suburbs. At that time, Insurance Agencies were located downtown. Ted Sr thought he could offer better service by locating his office close to where his clients lived so that they could stop in the office on their way to work or on the way home to discuss their insurance needs. The concept worked.
