About Doorstead The founders, Ryan Waliany, a technology-operations expert from Uber, and Jennifer Bronzo, a tech entrepreneur who grew up managing properties for her family's construction company, started Doorstead to create a new class of property management. After speaking to customers, they heard numerous stories of everyday people who were over-promised rents, incurred months of vacancies, and had to sell their properties because they couldn't pay their bills. Worse, these vacancies were entirely preventable and unnecessary, and they soon found out that property management incumbents have a 43-day vacancy average which approximates to $86B annually in economic waste in the property management space.
